Dr. Daniel Kovacik – Family Dentist in Scottsdale, AZ

D.M.D., M.P.H., M.A.G.D.

After graduating from Arizona State University, Dr. Kovacik received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. He also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Arizona School of Health Management and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency from the Lutheran Medical Center at the Maui Oral Health Center in Hawaii.  Dr. Kovacik has been awarded esteemed fellowships from the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) and the American College of Dentists (FACD), an organization that recognizes dentists for high standards of ethics and leadership in dentistry.

Dr. Kovacik believes community leadership and continual professional development are the hallmarks of a good dentist in Scottsdale AZ. He holds leadership positions with the Central Arizona Dental Society (CADS) and the Arizona Academy of General Dentistry (AzAGD).  Dr. Kovacik was a graduate of the inaugural class of the Leadership Exploration and Development Program (LEAD) with the Arizona Dental Association. He also served as Adjunct Faculty at Midwestern University’s College of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Kovacik lives in Phoenix and focuses his philanthropic efforts on helping underserved individuals in the area. His volunteer activities include the Arizona Mission of Mercy, Smile at Kids, and Catholic Charities of Arizona.  Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kovacik enjoys taking advantage of Arizona’s amazing environment by hiking, backpacking, and mountain biking with his wife and daughter. He also has a passion for traveling and has lived in four different countries throughout his life.
